Disclosure

This page lists every relationship that could color what we write. Guides repeat the relevant items in their first screen, next to the links they apply to.

Amazon Associates

As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Links to Amazon on this site are affiliate links: if you buy through one, Amazon pays us a commission at no extra cost to you. Those links carry rel="sponsored". We do not display Amazon prices, star ratings or review counts because Amazon only allows those to be shown live from its systems; check the product page for current figures.

Brand bonus commissions (Amazon Creator Connections)

Some brands pay an extra commission on specific products through Amazon's Creator Connections program. When a guide links a product that pays such a bonus, the guide names the brand in its first-screen disclosure and labels the placement as featured. A bonus never changes what a product is good or bad for: every featured product is compared on published specifications against alternatives, and we say plainly who it does not suit.

How reviews are written

Reviews are spec-based: we read the manufacturer's published specifications and manuals, explain what the numbers mean, say who the product fits and who it does not, and compare it with alternatives. We do not perform lab testing and we do not claim to have used a product unless we say exactly how. The label, manual and instructions for your own product always govern. See how we research.

What we do not do

We do not sell placement or badges, do not invent reviews or ratings, and do not let a bonus program decide what a product is good for.
